Famous American whaler from New Bedford, Massachusetts. It is very probable that this ship traveled more oceans and captured more whales than any other of its time. It embarked on ints first voyage on September 6, 1841 and in over 80 years of service made 37 trips. Restored in 1941, it is now on display in Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut.
