Armed with ten caronades of eight and four artillery of four, with 49 men of crew, length of twenty two metres, he was built by Robert Surcouf in the height of his glory and became wealthy shipowner after successful "war of races."
Born in St Malo in 1773, he followed in the footsteps of his illustrious predecessor Trouin Duguay, and traveled the Indian Ocean to the damn (?) Of the English ships. Reconstructed in 1988 in st Malo by Raymond LABBE and his team, the "Renard" was launched in 1991 and makes the pride of Malouins.
